Presentation of the project :

The Rockhampton Ring Road project is situated near the town of Rockhampton. Within the scope of the project is the Fitzroy River Bridge which will be a match-cast segmental balanced cantilever structure. VSL’s expected involvement in the project is the casting and erection of the ~350 match-cast segments of the Fitzroy River Bridge.

Missions :

Short-term: start playing a role in the project technical team to participate in the planning and development of construction methodology in advance of the works (technical/methodological phase)

Long-term: with the start of site work, we would look to transition the candidate into a site engineering role for production works in either the match-casting or the erection works teams.

• Junior engineer
• Basic background in structures construction
• Interest in developing experience in bridge construction techniques
• Be technically minded with good university results in structural and mechanical subjects 
• Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera 
• Good communication skills
